eggroll needs a name.

now that we know mancub is a mancub, matt and i have loosely been discussing names, but we're having a hard time getting serious about anything. third party opinions might be helpful. the following is a list of names we've tossed around... some are merely ideas, others are a little more serious. we've got pretty thick skin, so hack away at our list. thoughts? care to add?

swede
jonah
beckham
sennett
crew
windsor
liam
leo
henry
race
ezra
lincoln
oscar
roarke
sawyer

I guess you can pick 2 names! One from your list, one from Matt's list.

I guess you can pick 2 names! First name and middle name. One from your list and one from Matt's list. (Beckham must be Matt's idea, right?)

Crazy, but I DO like Beckham...way cute. I also am fond of Jonah. I have a couple of friends with boys named Krew and one named Lincoln. I like both of those as well. I guess I'm into a little untraditional, but not over the top. I'd stay away from Race...that could get ugly. :) Ultimately, you guys are going to have one cute kid no matter what his name is. Good luck with the name hunt!

I'm all for Beckham too! Not a huge fan of Race. Do like (in no particular order): Swede, Ezra, Lincoln, Windsor, Liam, and Crew. Sennett is interesting. Haven’t made up my mind about it, but leaning more toward like it. :) How about Beckham Crew or Ezra Windsor – I can see it now: Ezra W. Burton, M.D. or Ph.D or JD, etc. :) Will you be using Matthew as a middle name? Why not go for 3 or 4 names?

LOVE Swede, Jonah, Crew, Liam, and Beckham(although if you name your child Beckham Burton, it might get a little law-firm-ish)...And is Sennett a play on Senate? I might just have to call your child fro-yo for old times.....And maybe not roarke (but its your decision)

*You should watch the Friends clip where Ross and Rachel are trying to name their baby...classic

Beckham is in our top few too! Hey, if we both name our kids Beckham, when we hang-out, we can call them Beckham 1 and 2 (whoever is born first will get the privilege of being number 1, haha). I really like Crew and Sennett. I am actually thinking of Bennett. haha, that would be funny too. I like Race and Sawyer, I once had a friend named Race Sawyer. I think you guys are on the right track. I am really excited that our kids are going to be so close in age. I just hope that one day we will live close to each other so they can hang out.

I loved Liam, but Dan hacked that. I vetoed Edwin. If you can agree on one name I would say take it and run! P.S. Boys' names are hard!!!

Roarke is my vote. Beckham is very cute, but very popular too. Sawyer is my 3rd choice. The whole time I was prego we had Connor picked out. Then I saw the little guy and we changed it to Cooper. So you never know!

love sawyer and jonah, just heard of a "bauer" a "cohen" and a "boston" this week. always loved henry, so classic but hardly ever used. i like crew but would spell it c-r-u-e i think. fun fun!

i like the options, a little trad mixed with very untrad. hmmm. i like crew, swede and henry... race, ezra and roarke i would veto. (speaking of veto, I agree with Laura watch that Friends episode, you might end up naming your son Veto :) the name game, exciting stuff!

lincoln is our next son's name (if i get my way). love ezra, roarke, and beckham.

but really, you shouldn't listen to anyone else. i hated finding a boys name, and especially hated hearing the opinions of other people (can you tell it wasn't fun for me? bitter? yes.).

good luck!

I am a Henry fan personally. Thanks for the pick me up the other day. I tested positive when they ran the test because I was so sick for the first 4 1/2 months. Even though I was showing I was still dropping weight (my relief society arms disappearing was not just part of my imagination). So I am back up to pre-preg weight and steadily trying to put on some pounds. The second test showed that my tox levels were extremely high, so my doc wanted a third test. They also ran a sono to double check visually. Baby Starley still did not show the goods. Maybe next monday I can sneak in for a non official check but we'll have to see...Oh well. I am just so grateful everything is okay. My doc said I will probably gain simply because my heartrate isn't going so fast. Nate did arrange for a massage and it was wonderful. Lots of Love, Stace

good list. but you've got to be kidding about Race. I vote against any name that doubles as a verb.

crew is a a professional soccer team, beckam is a soccer player, race is a competitive event, sennett is a haven for makeup-wearing politicians, lincoln makes a great tricked-out suv... a few others to concider for ya'll.. galaxy, real, or possibly manchester u. knighted... what about legeslative, or ledgy for short, steeple chase burton is catchy... what about Javelin, Discus, or Vault..all names with some power. and if you're going for american made names, chevy, ford, or if you're going classy..Caddy. Anyway, I'm obviously pulling for Liam or Henry from your list, but i'll love the kid reguardless...

ok - so you are obviously open to some originality here. May I suggest a name that will give homage to his geographical conception location and also his birthplace? Since he will be born Chinese - gotta have Kahn. But he started in Texas - so how about Angus? Angus Kahn Burton? Very strong sounding don't you think? You can always fall back on the redneck favorite: William Richard (aka: Billy bob)
