changes.

i subconsciously rock back and forth whether fox is in my arms or not. i've been swaying myself to sleep in the shower.

my rock-hard chinese mattress that i've had a miserable time sleeping on suddenly is my favorite place on the entire island.

i suspect my neighbor has been launching obnoxious 7:00 AM techno counter-attacks on our new noise pollution.

welcome, my friend welcome. motherhood makes you do all sorts of odd things. pretty soon you'll find yourself in your car singing your childs favorite song---and they aren't in the car with you. :)

i hope you're getting SOME rest. One time I fell asleep on my kitchen floor. Can't remember WHY I chose that surface, but I think it had something to do with the fact that I was so tired I couldn't even make it to the couch. Tile seemed like a good option. Oh the joys! :)

and the swaying thing? yaaah... I sway pretty much anytime I'm standing. with or without the babe. what is that?

life really turns upside down doesn't it? funny how you just walk on the other side of life once you become a parent.....

Hey Erin, how are you doing? That is funny about the swaying thing, after I've tended my nieces I find myself doing that no matter where I am at, in grocery lines, in front of my class. It is quite comforting! Hope all is well, Fox is a handsome little peanut!

I still rock myself and Cooper's 3! I don't think that ever goes away.

i love the name fox...how did you come up with it? i hear you on the swaying thing---I am surprised that you find time to shower so early in motherhood---you are doing something right that I obviously wasn't. love the pictures on the previous posts, keep them coming and congrats again on your little one.

I am feeling the exact same way!! It is so weird how your life changes so dramatically overnight.

yes the swaying still continues whether baby is with me or I am alone. I guess it's like when nervous people strum their fingers? Or shake their foot? I rock to comfort my subconscious baby. Just kidding. Glad to here you're doing well kid. Can't wait to meet your little one in real life some day.

old me.
