let's hear it for nerve damage!

i've got a raging case of carpal tunnel. haven't been able to feel my fingertips since fox started developing rolls on his back, but i can't completely blame it on my husky chief and his entourage. i'm sure my years of drawing, typing, and guitar-heroing lobbed the ball right over the plate, and fox just smacked it out of the park. i purchased this fetching wrist brace cos i didn't know what else to do. i can't do a dang thing when it's on, so i only wear it to bed, like on the third thursday of every month. i don't want to go to the doctor cos i don't want him to tell me i need surgery. anyone got any home remedies?

Hey erin.. so I teach yoga, and there is a certain wrist stretch that is suppose to help carpul tunnel.. you sit back on your heel swith your knees spread slightly apart, then you put your arms outstretched in front of you with your palms up, next put your fingertips to the floor and then your palms to the floor, you should feel a stretch in your arms, make sure you are sitting back on your heels so you are not putting any weight or pressure on your writsts but they are getting a nice stretch. hold it for as long as you would like, working up to a little more each day. Then do the opposite side, so stretch your arms back out in front of you, this time palms facing the floor, fingertips to the floor, then tops of the hands to the floor and roll the creases of your elbows forward so they are facing out, again no weight or pressure, but now you should feel a stretch in the top part of the forearm. All right, this is long. HOpe it helps, do it daily! people in my classes swear by it! if you are confused give me a call:)

When i read my comment, i get confused. WHen i say palms to the floor and tops of the hands to the floor, both times your fingertips should be pointing towards your body.. hopefully this makes it a little more clear. does that makes sense?

i know this late hope you are still checking. i was picking erics brain and he said the first thing is to get rid of the inflammation.. this mean lots of ibprophen. for my knee he had me on 800mg (pls read the bottle)
3xday for just about 1m- this will box your kidneys if you’re not careful so if you do this drink LOTS of water! second, and i don't know if this is at all possible, don't use it. or at least limit the use. i think this along with your stylish brace should help. hope it feels better soon.

p.s. i spelled dam, d-a-m thinking maybe it wouldn't be a swear word if i did. no other word was fitting.
